On The Red Carpet
“Who are you wearing tonight?” GRAMMY nominees are asked every year as they arrive on Music’s Biggest Night. On the Red Carpet features original, eye-catching outfits from the most recent GRAMMYs and Latin GRAMMYs. The red carpet has become a place for fashion designers to exhibit their most dazzling designs of the year, generating buzz alongside the highly anticipated performances and award ceremony.
This section also features a collection of photographs by celebrity photojournalist Ron Galella, one of the official photographers at the GRAMMY Awards in the 1970s, ‘80s, ‘90s, and early 2000s. Galella’s nostalgic photographs are a time capsule of celebrity fashion, capturing artists like Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, and *NSYNC arriving, mingling, and posing with their GRAMMY Awards.
The GRAMMY Museum is grateful to The Ron Galella Foundation for making these works available as part of a continuing partnership.
