Musical Crossroads
Musical Crossroads is a sprawling digital touch table that allows visitors to explore hundreds of artists, singles, albums, decades and music scenes and discover what connects them. The interactive is a dynamic way for visitors to see and hear music they love—and discover even more great music. Created in partnership with IBM, Musical Crossroads is a 21st century version of our original Crossroads table, which debuted in 2008 when the museum opened. The new version features AI models and IBM watsonx to identify patterns across genres, artists, and eras and reveal how sounds evolve and influence one another over time.
