Reel to Reel: La Nube en el Jardín en vivo Featuring Ed Maverick

The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome Latin Grammy Award-winning artist Ed Maverick to the Museum’s intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for an evening celebrating his latest album ‘La Nube en el Jardín’ and film ‘La Nube en el Jardín en vivo desde la Sala Nezahuacóyotl’ with a screening, a conversation about his creative process, and a short performance.

His musical style, a fusion of folk, Latin rock, and alternative Latin, has positioned him as one of the most relevant artists in the new Mexican music scene. Songs like “Fuentes de Ortiz” and “Acurrucar” have become anthems for a generation seeking to connect with their deepest emotions.

In less than a decade, Ed Maverick has toured various parts of the world with his music. Mexico, United States, Colombia, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, and Argentina have all witnessed the growth of Ed’s performance and artistry.

In 2024 Ed Maverick released La nube en el Jardín. This album represents a return to his roots, with songs that draw on the purest elements of folklore. The lyrics are more direct and the melodies, simpler. Despite its apparent simplicity, La nube en el Jardín is an album full of nuances and emotions. Songs like “culpa” and “violento” are a clear example of Ed’s musical evolution. Last December, the documentary La Nube en el Jardín en vivo desde la Sala Nezahualcóyotl premiered, showing a cinematic view that portrays Ed’s new sonic universe in detail.

With each new album, Ed Maverick consolidates his place in Mexican music. His authenticity, sensitivity, and ability to connect with the audience have made him a reference for many young artists. Despite his young age, Ed has built a solid and promising legacy, and everything indicates that he still has a lot more to offer.

About La Nube en el Jardín en vivo desde la Sala Nezahuacóyotl

After touring North America, Europe, and South America, Ed Maverick returned to Mexico City to perform a previously unseen format of his latest studio album, “La Nube En El Jardín,” at the prestigious Sala Nezahualcóyotl.

A deep dive into the soul of one of the most authentic artists of his generation; from a revealing panic attack before going on stage to the shared catharsis with an audience completely surrendered to his music. This concert documentary follows the singer-songwriter born in Delicias, Chihuahua, on a journey of honesty and artistic communion.
