Occasioned by the publication of Touré’s new book I Would Die 4 U: Why Prince Became An Icon, a deep look at Prince’s music and life. It’s not a biography, it’s a deconstruction and appreciation of the artist bolstered by a candid interview with Prince in 1998 and interviews with many of Prince’s band members and girlfriends as well as musicologists, and even Bible scholars.
