Rolling Stone hailed her as “the most thrilling solo artist in indie rock right now,” while EW described the album as “a revelation,” and the NY Times called it “dulcet and ferocious, meticulous and deranged.” ‘St. Vincent’ prompted major features and spreads from NPR, New York Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal among others, along with a release-day interview and performance on The Colbert Report. The album follows 2011’s ‘Strange Mercy’–which earned her the covers of SPIN, Paper, and Under the Radar in addition to performances everywhere from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Fallon to Letterman and Conan–and her 2012 collaboration with David Byrne, ‘Love This Giant,’ another critical smash that was dubbed “marvelous” by the New Yorker and “magical” by NPR.
