On View - Jul 25, 2011 - Jul 25, 2011

As pop music’s premiere satirist, “Weird Al” Yankovic has been a consistent and potent force in the musical landscape for over three decades. He is the biggest selling comedy recording artist of all time, and his hit singles and pioneering music videos such as Eat It, Amish Paradise and White & Nerdy have earned him international acclaim. Throughout his career, Weird Al has released over 30 gold and platinum albums, and out of a clean dozen GRAMMY nominations, he has garnered three wins. Join us as we welcome “Weird Al” Yankovic to The Clive Davis Theater for a special interview, moderated by GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli. Hear Al in discussion about his celebrated career as a recording artist and his work as a songwriter, record producer, concert performer, actor, director, and his most recent addition to his list of accomplishments as a New York Times Bestselling children’s author. He will also discuss his first new studio album in five years, Alpocalypse, which debuted at #9 on the Billboard charts. Following the interview, Al will take questions from the audience.
