Their name derives from Preservation Hall, the venerable music venue located in the heart of New Orleans’ French Quarter, and for decades they’ve been traveling the world spreading their mission to nurture and perpetuate the art form of New Orleans Jazz. As part of our celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, it’s our pleasure to welcome The Preservation Hall Jazz Band to the 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for an evening of infectious New Orleans music. Along with the performance, you’ll hear PHJB members in discussion about their celebrated founding members, their pioneering approach towards their craft and why it’s so important to them to continue to pass on the lessons of their music to younger generations. GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli will moderate the event.
