Imagine a theater. As Chuck Berry would say, “the place is packed.” The lights go out. An album cover is on the screen, and suddenly, a vinyl record begins to play. From the first song on side one, to the last song on side two — no phones, no computers, no interruptions. This is The Record Theater. Back for the fourth time by popular demand, the GRAMMY Museum invites you to the Clive Davis Theater to experience The Record Theater. An original mono pressing of Beatles ’65 awaits the needle drop. The Fab Four’s fifth album for Capitol Records in the United States, Beatles ’65 climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and features the Top 5 hits “I Feel Fine” and “She’s A Woman.” After the record ends, special guests Dave Morrell, author of Horse-Doggin’: The Morrell Archives Volume One, and Brian Kehew, co-author of Recording The Beatles, will join Record Theater creator Marvin Etzioni onstage for a discussion. To quote the back cover of Beatles ’65, “Some said it couldn’t really be happening….” Well it is! Get your tickets now. Screaming girls will not be admitted without a legal guardian.
