Presented by the Los Angeles Chapter of the Recording Academy and MusiCares, in partnership with BETThe MusiCares Foundation, an affiliated charity of the Recording Academy, and BET are pleased to present The Health Of Hip-Hop And R&B, a panel discussion focusing on topics including mental health and substance abuse in the hip-hop and R&B community, as well as prevention, awareness, and recovery resources. Hosted by Justin Hunte, former editor-in-chief of HipHopDX, the panel will feature Dr. Reef Karim, urban music executive and founder of the Silence the Shame organization Shanti Das, recording artist Vic Mensa, GRAMMY-nominated artist Charlie Wilson, and GRAMMY winner Lalah Hathaway. The event will take place in the GRAMMY Museum’s Clive Davis Theater. This program is free. There is a two ticket limit per household. GRAMMY Museum and Recording Academy members receive priority seating.
