Several years ago, two emerging solo artists from opposite sides of the country randomly collided, fell in love, and combined their talents to form Us The Duo. A few successful online videos encouraged these pop songwriters to create their own music together. In 2014, Us The Duo vaulted to prominence when their #6SecondCovers gained major traction. Us The Duo inked a deal with Republic Records making history as the first artists signed to a major label from popular app, Vine. Since then, their social media following has grown to over 10 million and they have created a bonafide lifestyle brand. Selling out headlining shows around the world, Michael and Carissa have also toured with Tori Kelly and GRAMMY Award-winning a cappella group Pentatonix on their 2016 world tour. Us The Duo released their latest album Just Love in July 2016. It was their highest charting release, reaching No. 4 on the iTunes Pop Charts and No. 4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. Following the release of their album, Us The Duo announced their next musical venture: a concept EP co-created with fans. Part of the year-long AT&T Hello Lab initiative, this album — dubbed Public Record — is inspired by 5 true fan-stories turned into 1 stunning 10-part visual EP, dropping Dec. 5. Overall, Us The Duo’s original music has been streamed over 100 million times. The GRAMMY Museum welcomes Us The Duo to the Clive Davis Theater for a conversation on their rising success and their latest project Public Record, moderated by Scott Goldman, Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares. The conversation will be followed by a performance.
