The Drop: Imagine Dragons

Most known for their spectacular live performances and energetic drum beats, GRAMMY winners Imagine Dragons have drawn national attention since their debut album, Night Visions, went multiplatinum in 2012. The four-piece group hit the ground running with their first album featuring the hugely successful hit, “Radioactive,” which stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-setting 87 weeks. Since then, the group has been featured on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” as well as “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and Good Morning America’s “Summer Concert Series.” The group’s refusal to slow down is apparent on their third and latest album, Evolve, which opened at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart. The album is already making waves, featuring tracks such as “Thunder” and “Believer,” which have generated over 100 million streams on Spotify. “Believer” continues to sit atop the Alternative Radio chart and recently broke a 13-year record for number of spins at Alternative Radio. Evolve is the group’s most personal album to date, featuring lighter instrumental tones and lyrics more representative of the personal lives of each member. The band, which is set to kick off the Evolve Tour Sept. 26, has garnered praise from Entertainment Weekly, Time, Billboard, and many more. Despite being a relatively young band, Imagine Dragons have released an astonishing number of chart-topping tracks, and are listed as Spotify’s second biggest rock band in the world, raking in over 35 million listeners per month. The group won their first GRAMMY in 2014 for Best Rock Performance for “Radioactive.” In addition to their continuously rising stardom, Imagine Dragons founded the Tyler Robinson Foundation, which focuses on providing support and aid to families dealing with pediatric cancer. To this day, the foundation has raised millions of dollars in donations. The group from Las Vegas is comprised of vocalist Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman.
