The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome acclaimed musician Kali Uchis to the Museum’s intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for a special evening including a conversation moderated by Suzy Exposito of the Los Angeles Times about the making of Kali Uchis’ recent album, Red Moon In Venus with a special performance to follow.
Raised between Virginia and Colombia, Kali Uchis is a multihyphenate artist — a vocalist, songwriter, producer, director, visual artist and more. Uchis first rose to prominence with her universally acclaimed 2015 project Por Vida and her 2018 debut album Isolation, which was named one of the best albums of that year. In 2020, Uchis released her first Spanish language full length, Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) ∞, which spawned the runaway, chart-topping hit “telepatía”—the Billboard Hot 100’s longest running Spanish song by a solo act this decade. In March she released the long-awaited Red Moon In Venus—one of this year’s most acclaimed albums.
Uchis is the recipient of a GRAMMY award—and several more nominations, two Billboard Music Awards, an American Music Award, an iHeart Radio Music Award, three Billboard Latin Music Awards, a Premios Nuestra Tierra and a Univision Premios Juventud.
Uchis played a massive set on the Coachella main stage this year before embarking on a completely sold out North American tour with additional arena dates to follow this fall. She has collaborated and shared stages with SZA, Tyler The Creator, Gorillaz, Jorja Smith, Diplo, Major Lazer, Snoop Dogg, Kaytranada, and many more and has toured the world over, with much-lauded sets at every major festival including Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza.
