The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome multi-platinum-selling artist and hit songwriter Julia Michaels to the Clive Davis Theater for an intimate conversation on her latest release, Nervous System, and for a special performance. With the release of her hit debut single, “Issues,” Michaels is poised to make her name known as one of the best new artists of 2017. “Issues,” which is now a certified RIAA Double Platinum track, spent nearly 30 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Michaels follow-up single; “Uh Huh,” along with “Issues,” has helped lay the groundwork for her newest release, her self-professed “mini-album,” Nervous System. Upon its release, Nervous System soared to No. 2 on iTunes’ U.S. Top Pop Albums Chart and received glowing praise from Variety, Pitchfork and Time, among others. Prior to achieving success as a recording artist, Michaels made a name for herself in the industry as an A-list songwriter, working alongside artists such as Selena Gomez (“Good for You”), Justin Bieber (“Sorry”), Ed Sheeran (“Dive”), Gwen Stefani (“Used To Love You”), Linkin Park (“Heavy”), and many more. With Nervous System, Michaels is breaking out on her own, and revealing a side of herself that fans have yet to see. All seven tracks take fans on a rollercoaster of emotions, delivering a glimpse into her personal experiences. With delicate piano tones, off-beat percussions, and the funky riffs you can only achieve from a synth, Nervous System has a little bit of everything.
