Spotlight: Davido

The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome 2026 GRAMMY Award-nominated artist Davido to the Museum’s intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for an evening celebrating and discussing Best African Music Performance nominated song “With You,” his creative process, and his latest album 5IVE, with a special live performance. 

5x GRAMMY-nominated afrobeats icon Davido is cemented as a global force in music. Often called “The King of Afrobeats,” the American-born, Nigerian-raised icon has amassed over 5 billion streams and 1.2 billion video views. The most followed African artist on social media, Davido has been a forerunner in connecting the world to Afrobeats. In 2023, he became the first African artist to top the iTunes Album Chart with his billion-streaming album Timeless, which earned three Grammy nominations for Best Global Music Album, Best Global Music Performance and Best African Music Performance. Davido also had sold-out U.S. and international tours, with Timeless breaking streaming records. His Unavailable Dance Challenge on TikTok surpassed 100M video views.

A touring powerhouse, Davido’s April 2024 Madison Square Garden performance and multiple sold-out shows at London’s O2 and Atlanta’s State Farm Arena highlight his global reach. Other live milestones include headlining AfroNation and performing at the 2022 World Cup for over 250 million viewers. He broke records in 2019 with hits “If” and “Fall” from A Good Time, and released A Better Time in 2020, which featured hits like “FEM,” “Holy Ground” ft. Nicki Minaj and “Shopping Spree” ft. Chris Brown.

In April 2025, Davido released his fifth studio album, 5IVE. With global collaborations such as Victoria Monét, Omah Lay, Victony and more, 5IVE marks a new chapter of personal growth and global connection for the artist. Album standout “With You” has been recognized as a nominee for Best African Music Performance at the 68th Grammy Awards taking place in early 2026.

With over 30 awards and nominations, including numerous Grammy (5x), BET, EMA, and VMA nods, Davido is one of the most recognized African performers of all time. He has graced the cover of Rolling Stone Africa in 2025 and Forbes in 2023. Beyond that, his media presence spans The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel, Rolling Stone, New York Times, Billboard, and more.

The holder of this ticket is granted admission to the indicated facility for the purpose of viewing the specified event. This ticket is for use by the holder only and the holder is bound by this policy. This ticket is not transferable and may not be sold, otherwise conveyed or used for any other purpose, including promotion or commercial, without the prior written consent of The Recording Academy. If this ticket is sold, otherwise conveyed or used in violation of this policy, it will be deemed revoked and void, and its holder deemed a trespasser at all Recording Academy events. This ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused by refunding the face amount of the ticket or ejection may occur for failure to comply with any facility rule. The holder agrees not to transmit or aid in transmitting any description, picture, recording or reproduction of the event. The holder acknowledges that the event may be captured and recorded by audio, audiovisual, and/or photographic means, and hereby grants permission to utilize the holder’s image and/or voice in any and all media now known or hereafter devised to further the interests and mission of the Recording Academy.
