Perhaps best known for his vocal and music endeavors with the two-time GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum alternative rock band Linkin Park, Mike Shinoda is also a songwriter, performer, record producer and visual artist. Most recently, Shinoda added composer to his already impressive list of creative talents. Alongside composer Joseph Trapanese (collaborator with Daft Punk & M83), Shinoda co-composed the score for Sony Pictures Classics’ action film The Raid. The film played to sold-out crowds at the Toronto Film Festival and won the Midnight Madness Award. With the propulsive new score by the alternative composer duo, The Raid is now poised to reach global audiences. Join us for a unique evening with both Shinoda and Trapanese, along with Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Scott Goldman, to discuss the process of writing scores for film and television. Along with the discussion Mike and Joe will take questions from the audience and play clips from The Raid score.
