Reel to Reel: Jeff Lynne’s ELO ‘Wembley Or Bust’

Featuring a screening of Jeff Lynne’s forthcoming concert film followed by a Q&A; On the eve of the release of Jeff Lynne’s ELO’s live CD/DVD of their legendary concert at Wembley Stadium on Nov. 17, the GRAMMY Museum welcomes the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer to the Clive Davis Theater for a special screening of the live concert, followed by a Q&A with Jeff Lynne, moderated by GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Scott Goldman. In Wembley or Bust viewers will see Lynne and his remarkable musical ensemble filling Wembley Stadium with one of the greatest rock & roll spectacles of all time, complete with bells, whistles and spaceships in front of a 60,000-capacity crowd. As Lynne says himself, “It’s the best time I ever had in music… It is beyond anything I could have imagined.” The film includes performances of many of the most beloved songs his career, including ELO vintage classics like “Mr. Blue Sky,” “Livin’ Thing” and “Evil Woman.” Having always been known for their epic live performances distinct style that blends rock, pop and classical, ELO has had more than 20 Top 40 hits across the United States and the UK, making Lynne’s sweeping productions some of the most recognisable music of the last 40 years and helping sell over 50 million records worldwide. Widely recognized as one of the greatest artists and producers in music history, Lynne was a co-founder and member of The Travelling Wilburys together with Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, George Harrison, and Tom Petty, and a producer and collaborator with some of the biggest names in music, including The Beatles, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, and most recently, Bryan Adams.
