Featuring a special screening and conversation with Tina Sinatra, Charlie Pignone, Chuck Berghofer, and Gene CiprianoThroughout his six-decade career, nine-time GRAMMY winner Frank Sinatra performed on more than 1,400 recordings and was awarded 31 gold, nine platinum, three double platinum, and one triple platinum album by the RIAA. Sinatra demonstrated a remarkable ability to appeal to every generation and continues to do so as his artistry still influences many of music’s current superstars. Sinatra was awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards from The Recording Academy, The Screen Actors Guild and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), as well as the Kennedy Center Honors, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Gold Medal. Today, he remains a legend and an inspiration around the world for his contributions to culture and the arts. His legacy lives on with the upcoming release of World On A String, a new 4CD/DVD collection to be released worldwide by Frank Sinatra Enterprises/UMe on Oct. 21. The collection features more than four hours of previously unreleased performances by Sinatra, recorded and filmed around the world between 1953 and 1982. To celebrate the release of World On A String, the GRAMMY Museum will host a special screening of highlights from the DVD included in the collection. Following the screening, the GRAMMY Museum will welcome Frank Sinatra’s daughter Tina Sinatra, Charlie Pignone, SVP of Frank Sinatra Enterprises and producer of World On A String, and musicians Chuck Berghofer and Gene Cipriano for an intimate conversation on Sinatra’s legacy.
