Singer-songwriter Ed Kowalczyk made his name in rock history as lead-singer of the legendary band Live. Kowalczyk led the band to reach gold and platinum status in nine countries with hit songs including “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “Selling the Drama,” “The Dolphin’s Cry,” “Overcome” and “Heaven.” With Live, Kowalczyk dominated the rock scene for over 20 years, selling over 20 million albums worldwide, before splitting from the band to release his first solo album “Alive,” in 2010. His newest album, “The Flood and the Mercy,” is “a progression of what he’s been striving to write.” The album is packed with vitality, strength and power, and it explores depth with layers of dense lyrics and musical textures, mirroring his exploration as a solo artist. Please join us in the Clive Davis Theater as we welcome Kowalczyk to celebrate his latest release “The Flood and the Mercy,” with a discussion about the album and his solo career. After an interview, moderated by Vice President of The GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Scott Goldman, Kowalczyk will answer audience questions, and will perform an intimate set.
