Ian ‘Mac’ McLagan’s decades long career, has taken him from the British Invasion sounds of Small Faces to the equally influential Faces, whose music and performances inspired many ‘70s, ‘80s and ’90, guitar-rock bands from the Sex Pistols & The Replacements to The Black Crowes. After Faces broke up Mac toured and recorded with the Rolling Stones. He went on to work as a session and backup musician, notably working with Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Melissa Etheridge, Bruce Springsteen and many more. Small Faces and Faces were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2012. Mac has released seven solo albums thus far, and just released his latest CD with Ian McLagan & The Bump Band, Live at The Lucky Lounge. Mac and Jon Nortarthomas will be touring the East coast, West coast and select cities in Canada this summer in support of Live at The Lucky Lounge. Hosted by Vice President of The GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Scott Goldman, McLagan will discuss his unique career as a keyboard instrumentalist as well as a genuine, dyed-in-the-wool rock’n’roller. After the discussion, McLagan will perform.
