Hard rock legends Black Sabbath have dominated the rock world since the release of their first album in 1970 and are credited with “creating heavy metal,” according to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The success of their first two albums–Black Sabbath and Paranoid–marked a paradigm shift in the world of rock. Ultimately, the GRAMMY-winning group has gone on to sell over 70 million albums together.  In 2006, Black Sabbath was inducted into the U.S. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a year after they had been honored by the UK Music Hall of Fame.  This year, original members Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi reunited for the release of their widely acclaimed studio album, 13 which entered the charts at #1 in 13 countries (including their first #1 in the U.S). Join us as we welcome two true legends of rock, Black Sabbath’s Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler, to the Clive Davis Theater to celebrate their most recent success, in an interview with Vice President of The GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares, Scott Goldman.
