A New York Evening With Maggie Rose

The Grammy Museum is thrilled to welcome two-time Grammy Award-nominated artist Maggie Rose to The Loreto Theater at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture in New York City for a discussion about her new album, Half Moon, her creative process, career, and more, with a special live performance.

This event is part of the GRAMMY Museum’s New York City program series, which brings the Museum’s renowned education and public programs to the city. “A New York Evening With…” is generously supported by the Dawn and Brian Hoesterey Family Foundation.

ABOUT MAGGIE ROSE

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Maggie Rose released her anticipated studio album Half Moon in August 2026. Produced by Lawrence Rothman (Amanda Shires, Margo Price) and Daniel Tashian (Kacey Musgraves, Leon Bridges), Half Moon reveals the rare magic of hard-won momentum meeting a creative spirit in peak bloom.

Half Moon took shape through a charmed and fluid process that began with the Rose, Rothman and Tashian meeting up every few weeks to write in Tashian’s home studio, taking advantage of his abundant stash of instruments (e.g., Mellotron, upright bass, a saloon-style piano). “We’d leave each session with these beautiful, fully conceived demos, and after a few songs it became apparent that something special was happening,” says Rose, who was eight months pregnant at the outset of the album’s creation. Thanks in part to its lavish string arrangements and velvety horns, Half Moon unfolds with both sophisticated ease and daring grandiosity—a direct reflection of her newly widened emotional world

Talking about the album, Maggie says, “We’re in an extremely vulnerable time, so I hope this record gives people space to feel whatever they need to feel. I hope it helps everyone to be more gentle with themselves and give themselves grace—and reminds them that, just like the moon, we don’t need to shine full and bright all of the time to do what we’re meant to do. Like the moon, the whole of us is always there but just revealed differently depending on the light.”

After devoting more than a decade to deepening her craft and unlocking the full force of her extraordinary voice, the Nashville-based Rose experienced a rapid rise in recognition. Rose scored back-to-back Grammy nominations for her lauded 2024 LP No One Gets Out Alive and 2025 single “Poison In My Well” with Grace Potter and earned an Emerging Act OfThe Year nod from the Americana Music Association in 2025. Rolling Stone named No One Gets Out Alive one of the 100 Best Albums of 2024 among other accolades. Her follow-up EP Cocoon also garnered praise from the likes of Variety who proclaimed Maggie is, “a queen among Nashville singers.” Her high-profile TV appearances include performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, TODAY, and CBS Saturday Morning.

A true road warrior, Maggie has shared the stage with the likes of Chris Stapleton, Kelly Clarkson, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Dave Matthews Band, My Morning Jacket, Heart, Melissa Etheridge, Molly Tuttle, Lake Street Dive and more. A fixture in Nashville, she has played the Grand Ole Opry over 100 times. Maggie also hosts her own podcast, Salute The Songbird where she engages in candid conversations with her female musical heroes.
