ABOUT FITO PAEZ & NOVELA

Legendary singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist, synth master and unequivocal musical polymath Fito Paez presents his new album “NOVELA” – a 25-song rock musical in which the 11x Latin GRAMMY winner began composing in 1988 and finished in 2024.

The album “NOVELA” tells an extraordinary story with original characters of rebellious and passionate spirit. The musical and cinematographic takes us to a world of illusions and love, in chaotic, complicated and discouraged times // listen to the album here

Fito Paez creates a magical universe in film and album formats, narrating the story, through 25 unreleased songs, when a freak circus arrives and revolutionizes the lives of its inhabitants; teaching the young impressionable souls how to live –like his own early life– in a remote village in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina // read about the story here // and the characters here

“NOVELA” was composed by Fito Paez and produced by Paez himself, alongside Gustavo Borner and Diego Olivero and it was recorded between Abbey Road, London and 5020 Studios in Madrid.

Fito previewed the musical with “Cuando el Circo llega al pueblo” (“When the Circus Comes to Town”) in January 2025 and premiered “Superextraño” (“Super strange”) in February. Now with the release of “NOVELA,” we discover the pulse of the story’s outcome, “Sale el Sol” (“Sunrise”) alongside the official music video produced by Antiestático // watch here!

Sale el sol” is a positive song about everything coming back together after its destruction. In the video, we see love triumph on a street full of hopes and terrible storms. In the story, after the town falls victim to a crazed mob seeking to lynch “NOVELA” characters Jimmy and Loka – the journalist wanted the story, the priest wanted an exorcism, and the police wanted to arrest them – but a black out approaches.

Amid chaos and turmoil, Loka resists while Jimmy finds a way to rescue her, with the help of Charo and the band members. With the town still heated from the aftermath of the ruins, Julius loses everything, and the circus leaves town.

“NOVELA” is a work of art of infinite dimensions that will not leave anyone indifferent.
