Roy Orbison’s three sons, Wesley, Alex and Roy Orbison Jr., celebrate the legacy of their father in a very special GRAMMY Museum program. They’ll be discussing The Authorized Roy Orbison, their new book set for release globally by Hachette on Oct. 17, and the forthcoming worldwide Nov. 3 Sony release of the album A Love So Beautiful: Roy Orbison with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The three brothers will be reading passages from the book, accompanied by spectacular and many never-before-seen photographs documenting their father’s unparalleled career. They’ll offer a “first listen” to the new album and will debut a new “Oh, Pretty Woman” video shot during the recording process, including an intimate session in Nashville where the brothers, along with 10-month-old Roy Orbison III, contribute to the track in the same studio their father once owned. During the evening, footage will also be shown of the Royal Philharmonic in session at Abbey Road’s fabled Studio 2. A Q&A moderated by veteran music publicist Bob Merlis will follow, along with an opportunity to have The Authorized Roy Orbison signed by Wesley, Alex and Roy Jr.
