To help celebrate the debut of the Golden Gods: The History of Heavy Metal exhibit, heavy metal veteran Zakk Wylde will stop by to discuss what really goes on inside the tour bus with some of metal’s most legendary heavyweights. In 1987 at the young age of 19, Zakk Wylde was tapped to join Ozzy Osbourne’s band as lead guitarist and co-writer. In 1998 Wylde formed Black Label Society as a vehicle for his own artistic vision. Black Label Society quickly became a touring juggernaut and has gone to release seven successful studio albums which have sold well over a million and a half albums total. Today, Wylde continues to perform his masterful talents on guitar and piano to the legions of loyal fans. Zakk Wylde, the man who turned heavy metal touring into a journey of fantastical excess, shares what really goes on behind bus windows and stage doors in the forthcoming Bringing Metal To The Children: The Complete Berserker’s Guide to World Tour Domination. After the discussion, moderated by Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Scott Goldman, Wylde will be available for a book signing.
