To speak of Pepe Aguilar as a unique voice and talent is to go back to the history of Mexican music, of which Pepe has been an instrumental part. With more than 13 million albums sold and countless awards throughout his successful career, the accumulation of anecdotes, memories and stories is endless. His many awards include a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, four GRAMMYs, four Latin GRAMMYs, The Billboard Award for Musical Legacy and 13 Lo Nuestro Awards. Aguilar began his career at age three and has been traveling ever since throughout Latin America singing alongside his parents Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre. Beyond his success as a singer, Aguilar is a musician in every sense of the word, who has repeatedly made his love for all genres of music public, from rock to electronica – by working as a songwriter and/or producer with famous Latin artists such as Julieta Venegas, Lupita D’ Alessio , Ely Guerra. For television, he has composed the themes for the OYE Awards as well as the theme for the Mexican Telethon. To celebrate the launch of the new exhibit, La Leyenda Continúa, which opens the day prior, please join us as we welcome Pepe Aguilar to the Clive Davis Theater. The event will be hosted by Ernesto Lechner, and will include a candid interview and Q&A with Aguilar.
