Honoring SoCal educator Kylie Ko and singer/songwriter Jackson BrowneSouthern California educator Kylie Ko of Mark Keppel Visual and Performing Arts Magnet Elementary School in Glendale and iconic singer/songwriter Jackson Browne will be honored at the second annual Jane Ortner Education Award ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015. Ko will be the recipient of the 2015 Jane Ortner Education Award and Browne will be honored with the Jane Ortner Artist Award. The evening will feature remarks from GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli and Recording Academy President/CEO and Chairman of the GRAMMY Museum Board of Directors Neil Portnow, and will be followed by a special performance from Browne. The Jane Ortner Education Award was established in 2011 to honor educators (kindergarten through 12th grade) who find innovative ways to engage students by integrating music into their classrooms and curricula. The Jane Ortner Artist Award was created to recognize an artist’s dedication to education through the arts.
