Industry sessions are introductory-level classes designed for aspiring creatives and emerging professionals who want to develop foundational skills in music, content creation, and the music industry.
We encourage applications from individuals who are curious, motivated, and eager to learn. No advanced experience is required — only a passion for music and creativity, openness to collaboration, and commitment to attending all sessions.
Participants can choose to take each session for credit or non-credit. Acceptance is based on motivation, availability, and fit for the program.
Industry sessions now offer the option to earn a Graduate Extension Credit through the University of San Diego in collaboration with Inspire EDU. Graduate Extension Credits are university-recognized professional development credits designed for working professionals who want to strengthen their knowledge, advance in their careers, and meet continuing education or credentialing requirements.
Details & Benefits
Credit is awarded on a Pass/Fail basis and approved by the industry sessions educator at the end of the course.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive one graduate-level unit, documented on an official University of San Diego transcript (mailed directly from the Office of Continuing Education).
Each unit represents 12.5 hours of learning.
Credits are recommended for use toward continued professional learning, credential maintenance, or salary scale increases (depending on district/state requirements).
Units may also be considered toward graduate-level continued education. Applicants should consult their graduate admissions counselor for guidance.
