A Conversation With Anthony Hopkins & Gustavo Dudamel

The Grammy Museum is thrilled to welcome Sir Anthony Hopkins and Gustavo Dudamel for an evening discussing Sir Anthony’s new album, Life is a Dream, their collaboration and creative process behind the project, tour, and more, in the Museum’s intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater.

ABOUT SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS

Sir Anthony Hopkins is one of the most celebrated actors of our time, with a career spanning more than six decades across film, television, and theater. Born in Port Talbot, Wales, he rose to international acclaim through iconic performances in films such as The Silence of the Lambs, The Remains of the Day, Nixon, and The Father, earning multiple Academy Awards and establishing himself as one of the world’s most respected performers.

Beyond his achievements as an actor, Hopkins has long nurtured a deep passion for music and composition. A self-taught composer, he has spent decades creating original works that reflect his rich imagination and emotional depth. In 2012, he received a Classic Brit Award for Album of the Year for his contribution to And the Waltz Goes On, a celebrated recording featuring André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra.

A landmark moment in his musical journey came on January 17, 2025, when Sir Anthony Hopkins made his live musical performance debut in Saudi Arabia during Riyadh Season. Held at the Bakr Al-Sheddi Theater in Boulevard City, the gala concert, Life Is a Dream, featured his original compositions performed by Britain’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, introducing audiences to his work as a composer on an international stage.

In recent years, Hopkins has increasingly shared his music with audiences around the world, revealing another dimension of his artistry. Today, Sir Anthony Hopkins stands as a rare creative force whose legacy spans both the cinematic and musical worlds—an artist whose storytelling continues to inspire, whether through performance or through music.

ABOUT GUSTAVO DUDAMEL

Gustavo Dudamel is committed to creating a better world through music. Guided by an unwavering belief in the power of art to inspire and transform lives, he has worked tirelessly to expand education and access for underserved communities around the world, and to broaden the impact of classical music to new and ever-larger audiences. His rise, from humble beginnings as a child in Venezuela to an unparalleled career of artistic and social achievements, offers living proof that culture can bring meaning to the life of an individual and greater harmony to the world at large. He currently serves as the Music & Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, and in 2026, he becomes the Music and Artistic Director of the New York Philharmonic, continuing a legacy that includes Gustav Mahler, Arturo Toscanini, and Leonard Bernstein. Throughout 2025, Dudamel will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of El Sistema, honoring the global impact of José Antonio Abreu’s visionary education program across five generations, and acknowledging the vital importance of arts education.

The holder of this ticket is granted admission to the indicated facility for the purpose of viewing the specified event. This ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused by refunding the face amount of the ticket or ejection may occur for failure to comply with any facility rule.
