Spotlight: Faouzia

The Grammy Museum is thrilled to welcome global breakout artist Faouzia to the Museum’s intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for an evening discussing her debut album, FILM NOIR, creative process, career, and more, with a special live performance.

Moroccan-born classically trained multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and vocalist Faouzia has quickly established herself as one of pop’s most compelling global forces, celebrated for her evocative storytelling, soaring vocal range, and world-building artistry. Blending her multilingual roots with a boundary-shattering vision, Faouzia has been spotlighted by Variety and Entertainment Weekly as an ‘Artist to Watch,’ with Variety further declaring her “an international artist in the truest sense.” In 2024, Faouzia captivated millions on China’s hit competition series, Singer, ultimately being one of the finalists, and is now the second most streamed international artist in China behind Taylor Swift.

After introducing herself in 2019 with “Tears of Gold,” Faouzia has captivated global audiences with breakout singles including “UNETHICAL,” “RIP, Love,” “Don’t Call Me,” and “Plastic Therapy,” amassing over 2 billion career streams across her catalog. Her genre-defying collaborations range from John Legend (“Minefields”) and Kelly Clarkson (“I Dare You”) to David Guetta (“Battle”), Galantis (“I Fly”), Alan Walker (“Last Song”), and most recently Illenium and G.E.M. on “Still Breathing,” further cementing her status as a true crossover artist.

Now fully independent with her debut album FILM NOIR out now, Faouzia conjures a visual and cinematic world through her intricate and purposeful lyricism. Over seven years in the making, Faouzia has crafted FILM NOIR to be one she is irrevocably proud of. Each track is its own movie – dark, emotionally rich, and lyrically intentional and profound. Every obstacle, every triumph, every defeat, all wrapped in a whimsical world that pulls at your heart strings and speaks to your soul.
