An Evening With John Fogerty

John Fogerty is a true American treasure, one of popular music’s all-time greatest singers, guitar players and songwriters. His remarkable career began in his hometown of El Cerrito, California, soon earning massive popular and critical success with the one and only Creedence Clearwater Revival. As leader of CCR, Fogerty forged a distinctive, groundbreaking sound all his own, equal parts blues, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B, swamp boogie and Southern fried rock ‘n’ roll, all united by his uniquely evocative lyrical perspective. After CCR called it quits in 1972, Fogerty embarked on what would prove to be an equally impressive solo career. 1997’s Blue Moon Swamp earned Fogerty critical acclaim, as well as a GRAMMY Award for Best Rock Album. His many other honors are induction in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the BMI Pop Music Awards’ prestigious “BMI Icon.” Now, the legendary rocker has released a new record, titled Wrote A Song For Everyone. The album is a celebration of Fogerty’s iconic songbook — and is a collection of classics and deep tracks from his remarkable canon of hits as well as some brand new songs, performed alongside an array of today’s biggest superstars, including Foo Fighters (“Fortunate Son”), Bob Seger (“Who’ll Stop The Rain”), Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, My Morning Jacket, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert and more. Wrote a Song for Everyone has been hailed by fans and critics alike including a rare 5 star review in Rolling Stone Magazine. To help celebrate the launch of Fogerty’s GRAMMY Museum exhibition, and in advance of launching his national concert tour October 10 at Nokia Theatre at L.A. LIVE, join us as we invite him to the Clive Davis Theater for an inside look into his stunning career. Moderated by GRAMMY Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli.
