The GRAMMY Museum is pleased to welcome Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Matthew Morrison to the Clive Davis Theater. A star of stage and screen, Morrison is most famous for his current role as Will Schuester on Fox’s hit musical comedy series Glee. Morrison studied musical theater, vocal performance and dance at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. His big Broadway break came when he was cast as heartthrob Link Larkin in the hit Hairspray. Morrison was later nominated for a Tony Award for his role in The Light in the Piazza, and received a Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical for 10 Million Miles. Morrison’s self-titled debut album, released in May, has been cited as a mix of classic crooning and “eclectic pop.” Featuring duets from artists such as Elton John, Sting and Gwyneth Paltrow, the lighthearted album is a true testament to Morrison’s vocal talents. Hear Morrison in discussion about the debut album, his rise to stardom and current success. After an interview with GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Vice President Scott Goldman, Morrison will take audience questions and perform a selection of songs.
