On Thursday, January 18, the GRAMMY Museum will host GRAMMY-nominated singer and Theatre World Award-winning actress Ketty Lester to discuss her legendary music and acting career, including navigating the music industry as a woman in the 1950s & 60s, her GRAMMY nomination for “Love Letters” in 1963, becoming a series regular in Michael Landon’s Little House on the Prairie, and her role in the cult classic, Blacula. Ms. Lester will also share stories of working with Cab Calloway, Groucho Marx, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, touring with James Brown and appearing on the stage of the Apollo Theater. The conversation will be followed by an audience Q&A and a signing of her memoir, vintage photographs, and her music. At 89 years old, Ms. Lester has remained a relentless force and reliable actress at any age, and is at work on her second book, a studio recording and subsequent concert.
This is a free Member Program for members of the GRAMMY Museum, but reserved tickets are required. To become a member, visit grammymuseum.org/join or contact membership@grammymuseum.org for more information.
