Epic Records CEO/Chairman and three-time GRAMMY-winning producer L.A. Reid is a rare breed among record producers — not only one of the most accomplished and innovative figures working behind the scenes in the music industry, but a celebrity presence in his own right. Reid has been shaping the music scene for more than 25 years. He is behind the success of some of today’s biggest stars, including Usher, Kanye West, Toni Braxton, Pink, Rihanna, and current GRAMMY nominees Justin Bieber and Meghan Trainor, to name a few, and was instrumental in Mariah Carey’s 10x-platinum comeback album The Emancipation of Mimi. In his forthcoming memoir, Sing to Me: My Story of Making Music, Finding Magic, and Searching for Who’s Next (Harper Collins, due out Feb. 2, 2016), Reid shares the inspiring story of his struggles and success, and takes readers inside the at-once glamorous and hard-hitting world on which he has left his indomitable stamp. The GRAMMY Museum welcomes Reid to the Clive Davis Theater for an intimate conversation on his extraordinary life and career. Following the discussion, Reid will sign copies of his new book.
