GRAMMY In The Schools Mini-Lesson by Heather Moore: Student Mental Health and Music

Join social science educator and Jane Ortner Education Award participant, Heather Moore, as she discusses the importance of mental health and the coping properties of music. Being a student amidst Covid-19 is difficult and today we seek to alleviate anxieties through the positive power of music. Students will think deep, enarmouring themselves by creating their own playlists featuring music that lifts them up and sharing their selections with their peers. We will also be examining music from the past and other cultures in relation to times of historical hardship.

Age Group: Grades K to 12
