The Mavericks, led by Raul Malo, first found mainstream success in their 1994 album What a Crying Shame. In the 12 years of recording before their 2003 hiatus, they recorded six studio albums and charted 14 singles including Dance The Night Away, All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down, and What a Crying Shame. After almost a decade apart, the group has reunited on their own terms, “not subject to the powers that be,” according to Malo. Fresh off the release of the EP Suited Up and Ready, their first in almost ten years, join us as welcome the GRAMMY-award winning group to the Clive Davis Theater for an intimate performance and interview with Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Scott Goldman.
